Every quote is per project

The numbers below are examples to give you a rough sense of cost, not fixed prices. What you actually pay depends on your page count, the type of editing you need, and your deadline. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all pricing, so tell me about your work and I'll build a quote that's fair for exactly what it involves.

Real Numbers

Rate ranges by service

A page is about 250 words. Your final quote is always built around your actual project, but these are the real ranges I work within.

Proofreading

$1.50–$3.00 per page

A final pass for typos, grammar, punctuation, and consistency.

Copy or Line Editing

$3.00–$6.00 per page

Sentence-level work on clarity, flow, and word choice.

Academic Editing

$3.00–$7.00 per page

Papers and assignments, with attention to citations and argument clarity.

Developmental Editing

$6.00–$10.00 per page

Big-picture structure, argument, pacing, and organization.

Dissertation or Thesis Editing

$7.00–$14.00 per page

Committee-ready line editing across your full manuscript.

Beta Reading

$1.00–$2.50 per page

Reader-perspective feedback on story, pacing, and engagement.

Every project has a $75 minimum. Final pricing depends on your page count, editing depth, and deadline.

Each one caps at a set page count and skips the revision round, so you get real feedback at a small, fixed cost before deciding on anything bigger. All three are paid in full upfront rather than split, since the project itself is already small.

Quick Read Reaction

$25 flat

Submit up to 20 pages and get a half-page written reaction: my honest, reader-level impression. No line edits, no revision round.

Short Edit

$30–$50 flat

Up to 5 pages, a real line edit plus a short written summary. Academic and dissertation work runs $35–$50; creative work runs $30–$40. No revision round.

Full Chapter Diagnostic

$90–$200 flat

Up to 20 pages, a full edit plus a detailed letter on the patterns across your writing. Academic and dissertation work runs $100–$200; creative work runs $90–$160. No revision round, a real standalone piece of work.
