Before You Send

Tips for the best submission

Following these helps me give you the most useful, accurate feedback possible.

Please send your work as a .docx file or Google Doc.
If you're not finished with a section or chapter, let me know what you're planning to include so I don't provide redundant comments.
For academic writing, especially assignments, please include any rubrics or instructions from your instructor.
If you used AI for your work, please include the source and the prompt(s) used.
For academic work, tell me your citation style. Most common are MLA, APA, and Chicago. I have written and edited in each of these formats.
Please do not send updates while I'm actively editing. Updates can be sent after the specific round is complete.
A quick note on my setup: I operate on Mac. Track changes and comments in .docx and Google Docs work seamlessly, so this won't affect your files.

Customized quotes are based on page count, editing type, and deadline.

What I don't do

I don't use AI for my services. You purely get a human touch.
I don't write your whole project for you. I may give you example sentences to use, but I don't write the whole thing.
I don't do overall page layout or image placement. I handle citations, references, tables of contents, and lists of figures. For full document design, I recommend your institution's formatting guide or a design specialist.
I don't do line editing for rush dissertations. If your committee deadline is in just a few weeks, I'm not the right fit. I do thorough work and protect my process.

Payment & Policies

Payment terms & refund policy

Clear and fair, so we both know exactly where we stand.

Payment

50% upfront, 50% after the first edit is completed. The deposit reserves your spot in my schedule; the balance is only due once your first round is delivered, so you never pay ahead for work not yet done.

Refund Policy

The 50% deposit is non-refundable once I begin work, as it reserves your place in my schedule. Because payment is split, you're never charged for editing that hasn't been delivered. Completed rounds are non-refundable, since the work and time have already been invested. If you need to cancel before I begin, just let me know.

Invoices are sent by email, and payment is accepted only through the secure Stripe link I provide once your quote is confirmed. I never request payment through any other platform, app, or method, so if you ever receive such a request, it is not from me.
